Johan Becker
Self-hosted AI, from the ground up.
I’m a student in Karlsruhe building AI systems that run on hardware I control, not someone else’s cloud. What pulls me in is the layer underneath: the networking, the architecture, and where the line between cloud scale and privacy should sit.
Lately that means hushgate, a gateway that lets European companies use Claude or GPT without sending personal data to the US; vramfit, which tells you whether a model will run on your machine before you download 40 GB of weights; and reachdoc, which finds the one reason nobody can reach your self-hosted service.
Projects
Use the best LLM APIs. Keep the data in Europe.
Will this model run on my machine, and how fast?
Why can’t anyone reach my self-hosted service?
